Two Lonely Dragons

http://www.4to40.com/poems/index.asp?id=305&category=English

Now this was noticed some distance away
By Droopy Dragon, who knew
Just how alone one poor dragon could be
When there was nothing to do.

Droopy set off where the smoke rings appeared
For he was anxious to see,
Whether another poor creature could possibly be
Quite so unhappy as he.

単語
set off:出発する
anxious:~を心配している、不安に思う
creature:生き物
possibly:ひょっとしたら

Second paragraph was hard to understand.

This means that Droopy also felt lonely and wanted to find out if the other dragon was as lonely as he is.
